• Recording (for analysis in Motion Amplification®)

This is a traditional RDI Recording in the form of .RDI file. This recording can be stored in the Motion Explorer tree, opened with Motion Amplification®, and turned into an MP4.

The Iris Edge camera can automatically generate an MP4 recording without the need to open Motion Amplification®.

  • Vibration Data:  
    • Waveform - See the sample below. The window will appear in Motion Explorer. If these measurements are attached to a Measurement Location, they can be viewed in Historical Data Analysis Layout Mode.



  • Spectrum - See the sample below. The window will appear in Motion Explorer. If these measurements are attached to a Measurement Location, they can be viewed in Historical Data Analysis Layout Mode. Spectrum can be overlaid into a Waterfall Plot.


  • Waveform Pk-Pk value - See the example below. The window will appear in Motion Explorer. The window in Motion Explorer will display a list view of all of the associated measurements. If these measurements are attached to a Measurement Location, they can be viewed in Historical Data Analysis Layout Mode.


  • Spectrum Digital Overall value - See the example below. The window will appear in Motion Explorer. The window in Motion Explorer will display a list view of all of the associated measurements. If these measurements are attached to a Measurement Location, they can be viewed in Historical Data Analysis Layout Mode.


  • (Spectral) Parameter Band(s) - See the example below. The window will appear in Motion Explorer. The window in Motion Explorer will display a list view of all of the associated measurements. If these measurements are attached to a Measurement Location, they can be viewed in Historical Data Analysis Layout Mode.


  • When a threshold is exceeded, an email containing the Waveform, Spectrum and MP4 can be sent by the software.


Sample Email


  • The MP4 can be automatically HDR-filtered - You can use the "MP4 Properties" tab under the "Edge Device" in the Monitoring Devices list to specify settings for the exported MP4 like Playback Speed, Amplification Factor, and Video Duration. If you check the "Filter MP4" box, the "Number of Frequencies for HDR Filtering" option will become active. This will cause the software to filter the top X number of peaks found in the Spectrum for that Trigger.

Motion Monitor also contains a "Status Display" while the system is actively monitoring a camera. This display is customizable and will present data similar to this:
